This was our first visit to Giant’s View. What a wonderful way to celebrate a 25th wedding anniversary! Weather was not with us but we didn’t care. Your home is so lovely and comfortable that a return visit is already planned for next year. We can see why you have so many returning guests every year. You did a beautiful job designing this place and we think it’s great that you share it with others.
Breaks in the weather allowed for some bird-watching which was exceptional with lots of confusing fall warblers dripping from the trees and bushes – the most we’ve ever seen at one time. Stargazing was great, too, and we leave as our contribution to the household a field guide to the stars.
Many thanks!

Magic was in the air this weekend as we celebrated the most beautiful wedding anyone has ever seen. Everything fell into place perfectly. Family and friends meshed well, weather was great, the view was spectacular and the house was straight out of our dreams. All of these things came a close second to the beauty of my new bride. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us and allowing a lifetime of “happy thoughts” to be created. If ever there was a place that made one believe in Kharma, this was it.

The whole weekend was a surprise for me orchestrated by my now fiancée. This vacation was supposed to be my birthday/valentine’s day present, and until the moment we pulled up to the house, from the time we left Ithaca, I had NO idea where Marc was taking me. Seeing this beautiful house made me think we were renting a room in a bed-n-breakfast. How excited and elated I was to find the whole, huge house our for 3 days! Marc would propose to me, but what a wonderful, romantic place to say YES! We skied, we luged, we went sight seeing. It was the best weekend a girl could ask for. Thank you for your beautiful house!

Thank you very much for the use of your beautiful home. We had 2 amazing days of skiing at Whiteface – perfect for all levels of skiing! The kids had a blast playing in the basement and the 2 teenage girls loved having the loft to themselves.
Were not sure we should go home and brag about your home to our Canadian friends or keep this little secret to ourselves!

We would like to thank you for sharing your spectacular home with us. The view is priceless. Our only regret is that we did not know about your home when we went on our honeymoon to Mirror Lake Inn in April. Most certainly we would have been here. This is everything that a mountainous hideaway should be. It is absolutely beautiful. We will return with our children and share this special place with them. It is everything that we hoped for and so much more.
Thanks

I brought my girlfriend Lynne here on a total surprise. The day before we came I stopped by the lodge and placed Christmas cards throughout the house. The first on the entrance door, the second in the kitchen, the third in the living room, and the fourth and final one in the master bedroom. With some helpful hints that I wrote in the cards, she was led from the entrance-way through the house on a treasure hunt to find a ring in the master bedroom. Needless to say it was a very big surprise for her and a very emotional experience for both of us. She said “YES”!!
So thank you very much for such a beautiful place to make our dream come true. We stayed three days, and the third day we invited both families for a surprise dinner and a surprise story. Everyone loved this place and wants to come again.

It was indeed a pleasure to stay in your beautiful house and have a nice winter get-away in the scenic Adirondacks. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and hospitality. Your house is beautiful and has inspired me with ideas to model my dream house. We had a memorable ski trip on the yellow trail at Lake Placid Olympic Complex. We’d like to visit again in the summer too and maybe do some trekking then.
Cheers

Thank you for sharing not only your home with us, but guiding us towards the perspective and clarity we have been seeking. Your stunning house has inspired us to re-evaluate life and attain our dreams and reach our goals! We thank you and wish you and your family the best life has to offer.

Last night we had the greatest experience. We were sitting on the deck, enjoying the stars when we heard this strange sound – sort of a loud squeaking – and really close to us! Of course in the woods at night your mind gets the best of you – we decided it was bigger than a mouse but certainly not a bear! But what the heck was making such a strange noise and so close to the house?
At one point we considered throwing a rock in the general direction of the noise so we could stop worrying about what it was and send it on it’s merry way! And then we spotted it…a beautiful owl perched on the top beam of the kids playhouse! We laughed at ourselves when we realized we were actually considering throwing a rock to scare this beautiful creature away! We watched him for a while – hunting. He flew to the ground and looked like he was trying to get a mouse or something small. He then flew into the trees.
The next thing you know – this gorgeous bird flew straight for us and landed on the corner post of the deck – not 10 feet away! We were both just stunned. Here was this wild creature joining us on the deck! We sat and watched as he hunted from the deck post and we whispered about how beautiful he was and how incredible it was that he could turn his neck around so far. He stayed for at least 15 minutes and it was such a treat to watch him. Then the owl screeched 2-3 times and flew off into the trees.

Wow!! What an amazing place you have to call home. How magical to wake up each morning to such majestic beauty! It was so peaceful to look out at the mountains – no matter what room we were in! We even were treated to a beginning-of-the-season-snowfall!! Your home is lovely and we know we will be back – hopefully real soon!!
